Miroslav Šik is an architect of Czech origin who emigrated in 1968 to Switzerland, where he lives and works today. He studied architecture at ETH Zurich. In 1988, he founded his own studio, among whose built projects are the Catholic parish centre St. Antonius in Egg, a special pedagogical school with day care centre in Zurich and residential houses in Winterthur, Haldenstein and Zug. Between 1990 – 1992 he taught at the Faculty of Architecture at CTU in Prague. In 2012 he represented Switzerland at the Venice Architecture Biennale.
